Pipeline inspection rehabilitation works inside Shamiaya compressor station

1. Exposing the entire pipeline in phases of 20 meters upstream of the degassing station inlet pipeline receiver from the 30 inch DS Quarinat to CS Shamiaya pipeline using manual means. Also exposing the 20 inch bypass pipeline going into the compressor station till the point where it ties-in with the 40 inch pipeline.
2. Exposing all stated pipelines adhering to the company's (BGC) standard excavation procedure shoring the trench and straight edges where needed.
3. Creating adequate work space in trench of at least 1 meter on the sides and 0.5 meter underneath of the exposed pipeline.
4. Perform a level 1 pipeline coating integrity inspection and assessment.
5. Complete removal of the pipeline coating as directed by the inspection team on each of the exposed pipelines in its entire length.
6. Adequately clean the de-coated pipeline surface using safe methods, sand blast and apply epoxy primer and new coating (BITUTAPE 165 PVC ANTI- CORROSION PIPE WRAPPING TAPE.) on the entire length of the expoed pipe.
7. Back fill trench and reinstall site back to its original condition.

The project was completed successfully within schedule without incidence.
